So recently we've met a new character named 'Sophie Deveraux' who's a witch, her older sister was just killed. Elijah we've known for a while now; he saved her from two vampires.

I started shipping these two as soon as I saw them. Basically because he saved her and they already seem comfortable around each other.
People have already came up with 'Sophijah' as their ship name :3 With Katherine staying in Mystic Falls and away from Klaus (And Nina Dobrev staying on The Vampire Diaries) Elijah is surre to get a new love interest.
